Loughmacask is a 27.6 hectare/ 70 acre rural site in an environmentally sensitive setting on the edge of the medieval city of Kilkenny. OMP were asked by the two landowners to prepare a master plan and a detailed residential design for the site. The finest landscape elements, including a Turlough lake, are preserved and incorporated into a large linear park off which are accessed a number of residential character areas and housing clusters.

A village Centre is located off a Main Street which services the heart of the development and connects to the main access road to Kilkenny. A total of 267 dwellings are envisaged in a layout which proposes terrace town houses along the principle access streets and large family houses in the quieter home zones off the Main Street .
