The State Street Bank Headquarters building is located on a prominent river side site in the docklands regeneration area of Dublin. The design was approved in consultation with State Street Banks consultants, Gensler. The mixed use development also includes permission for 112 apartments and some retail uses. The eight storey block incorporates 18300 sq ms / 200,000 sq ft  of office space  and 319 basement car spaces.

With the principle double height entrance facing the river, the design was envisaged as a lightweight glass envelope on the western wing sitting in the palm of the more solid stone box which flanks the eastern boundary.  A chequered pattern of opaque and clear glazing enlivens the full length glazed façade with the more solid stone clad facade modulated to incorporate two floors of office into each bay, a visual device which helps to reduce the scale and bulk of the elevation. The building has been designed to achieve a BREAM excellent accreditation.
