Clancy Quay, Phase 2, is an exemplary residential development, winning the RIAI Housing Award in 2018. The project, located within a former barracks complex, comprises two apartment buildings & contemporary terraced housing, along with the conservation and refurbishment of nine protected structures.
A new apartment building onto South Circular Road creates a strong urban edge, and within the site terraces of contemporary courtyard houses are inserted to complete the streetscapes of the former barracks. A new public open space, Cambridge Square, is created at the centre of the development, where contemporary & historic structures sit comfortably alongside one another.
